I buy and sell Bitcoin regularly, and am a registered Money Services Business with FinCEN, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network in the United States. This means I have to have an anti-money-laundering policy, and all sorts of other fun. It turns out that these policies make Bitcoin a lot less anonymous and a lot harder to get in the United States. This makes me sad. I try to do my part to make Bitcoin as accessible as possible while also preventing money laundering, but it's not easy.
