End of Year Expectations
Our expectation is that all our children will be ready to continue their musical journey into year 4, bringing the following skills with them:
Singing: Perform as a choir in class & school assemblies using a wide range of age appropriate songs of varying styles and structures, tunefully with expression.
Listening: Understand the stories, origins & traditions, history and social context of pieces. Experience performances in school and locally.
Performing: Using instruments, to play & perform melodies following stave notation.
Composing: Using our knowledge of musical theory and structure to compose and share music.
