Overview
PBL chocolate shop:
AERO 7
Everyone Loves Chocolate! This economics project taught students how to work collaboratively as they created their own chocolate shops as well as student booklets. Students learnt about chocolate production, vocabulary word wall words and definitions, Goods and Services, Super Slogans: Business Slogans with Chocolate Shop Templates, learned skills of marketing, designs of Chocolate Shop Names, as well as Slogans Templates – Favorite Ways to eat chocolate and spreadsheet template (pictograph) Brainstorm Names for their shop.. Interview a school staff member about their job Interview a parent about their job. Ways I can earn and save money, complete templates for advertising, KWL for chocolate. Create Your Own Chocolate Bar. Needs or Wants Activity Chocolate Bar Wrapper template and market day booth models.
Portfolios:
Portfolio with 3 different reflections along the way. We would need to choose these up front before the lesson begins. We want to keep it simple.
The below reflection could be used for the end of the project after the marketplace is presented.
We can use a type of TAG feedback to get students involved in giving feedback. We can also give this as a guideline for other people looking at the work the kids are doing. Being specific is really important in the feedback we give.

The students will take the information they learned from their surveys to drive their model and presentation of their model.
