My name is Taylor Gingery (pronounced with two hard ⟨g⟩ sounds, unlike the gingerbread cookie 😉).

I am the Gifted & Enrichment Coordinator for the Knox County Educational Service Center. I primarily work with the Centerburg, Danville, Fredericktown, and East Knox Local School Districts. I also partner with Mt. Vernon City Schools for some of our county-wide enrichment programs.

I started my teaching career as an art educator. I temporarily lived and taught in Dublin, Ireland at a school that serviced a diverse population, ranging from Irish natives to Asian, African, European, and Traveller (nomadic) students. I have taught all grade levels, K-12, in both affluent and low-income school districts. In my last teaching position, I created and curated hands-on curriculum for the 7th and 8th-grade career exploration course for Licking County’s career center, C-TEC. I earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus in S.T.E.A.M Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, ART, and Mathematics). I am passionate about hands-on learning, enrichment-focused curriculum, 21st Century Skills, diversity and inclusion, and education beyond the classroom walls. I am a Northridge High School graduate and thrilled to be working with schools I remember from my own K-12 athletic events.

My hope is to create a collaborative network for the Gifted Intervention Specialists and support our General Education teachers in differentiation for gifted learners, where all of us work together to share ideas, best-practices, and resources.
