Aims of the Course

GCE A-Level courses aim to develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject content, developing the student’s skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving, preparing them for tertiary education.  Students, with their parents, will receive consultation with the school's Sixth Form leadership team to advise them on the number and type of subjects they could undertake at HELP International School. Most students will take the AS Level examinations at the end of Year 12 and the A2 examinations at the end of Year 13.

Most subjects are examined through written examination paper. Some courses may have practical or coursework components. Please check the individual subject pages for more details of subject content, assessment and progression.

A carefully thought-out subject combination will be complemented with a comprehensive Sixth Form Studies programme that will provide students with a diverse and extensive profile of accomplishments that will be the basis for successful applications and transition into Higher Education.

A-Level results are reported on a grade scale from A* (highest) to E (minimum required performance).
