Don't forget half term - Thursday 15th & Friday 16th February
January 2024
Dear KISU Community,
As we step into the new year, I am pleased to share with you the latest updates and achievements from KISU. The beginning of the year marks a crucial phase in our academic calendar, especially for our students who sat mock IGCSE and IB exams. These exams are not just a rehearsal for the final assessments; they are a milestone that leads us into a significant period where students make pivotal choices about their further education and university destinations. The importance of the mock exams cannot be overstated. They provide a realistic preview of the exam conditions, helping our students to hone their revision strategies, manage time effectively, and identify areas that require further attention. More importantly, they serve as a critical point of reflection for our students, guiding their decisions on higher education and career paths. It is a proud moment for us to see our students embracing these challenges with determination.
We are particularly thrilled to share that some of our students have already received offers from prestigious universities in the UK, a testament to their hard work and the quality of education at KISU. These early offers not only boost the morale of our students but also reinforce the global recognition of the qualifications they are working towards.
This month, we are also delighted to have my friends from the UK visiting KISU. Atiyeh is generously volunteering in our classrooms, bringing a fresh perspective and enriching our learning environment. Ellah has joined Ms. Farah's Year 5 class, and it has been heartwarming to hear them speak so fondly of their experiences at our school. Their positive feedback is a reaffirmation of the outstanding educational journey we offer at KISU, shaped by our dedicated staff and the wider KISU community that supports us.
It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Ms. Rose Oule, who is retiring from her role as Office Manager and Assistant to the Director. After 30 years of exceptional service, Ms. Oule's departure marks the end of an era for KISU. Her commitment, warmth, and unparalleled dedication have been instrumental in the smooth running of our school. We are incredibly saddened to see her leave but wish her a joyful and fulfilling retirement. Ms. Oule's contributions to KISU will always be remembered and cherished.
