The Year 1 students had an engaging STEM day at Kampala Community International School. They enthusiastically conducted a variety of experiments which were prepared by students from other schools. They were also able to present their captivating milk and food colour experiment that left all the other children in awe. Ms Anita.
Year 2's recent trip to the fire station was a GREAT success! Not only did they get to explore the shiny fire engines and see real-life firefighters, but they also made valuable connections to their ongoing learning. In science, they've been exploring the world of materials, and witnessing the heat-resistant gear and fire-suppressing hoses was like stepping into their science lesson! Their history lessons on the Great Fire of London suddenly felt all too real as they had a go battling some "model" flames at the station. Most importantly, they learned crucial fire safety tips and even getting to hold a real hose – a thrilling experience that's sure to stick with them! From the wide-eyed wonder to the excited chatter, it's safe to say this fire station visit was more than just a trip; it was an unforgettable learning adventure! Ms Cathy.
