Kindergarten 2 children joined the rest of the school to celebrate Math Day on Thursday, 23rd November 2023. The children participated in various math-based activities, including identifying and describing shapes, creating patterns, counting out loud, singing number rhymes, sorting play objects by colour, and problem-solving with activities like fixing jigsaw puzzles. They also explored concepts like capacity, height, weight, and size, and enthusiastically embraced a 2D and 3D shape dress-up. Thank you all for your creativity and participation.
Math is an integral part of the children’s everyday lives, and within our Early Years setting, we continue to incorporate math concepts across all areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage. This approach supports the development of the children’s mathematical skills. Ms Eva.

On Thursday 23rd November, Reception celebrated Math Day along with the rest of the school. This year’s math theme was ‘Math is for Everyone’ & indeed it is! We talked about the importance of Math and how math is incorporated into our daily lives. The children took part in numerous activities along with a ‘Pattern Path Design!’ and a 2D/3D Shape Dress Up!
