Amazing April in Reception VG!
The days are filled with excitement as we celebrate different events at school. What an amazing sight it was to see all the children carrying their favourite book and coming dressed as their favourite character. Definitely, reading takes us into another world where we experience endless adventure. The day looked like all the characters had brought their stories to life.
Learning about transport and vehicles as our main theme of this term, children had an exciting field trip to the Fire Magnate, where they got a closer look into what goes behind preparing for any rescue operation. Seeing the functioning from the inside of fire engines and ambulances and learning about different tools and equipment that are used for different purposes was very informative. It was an additional excitement not only meeting the real firefighters but also wearing their uniforms and having a round in the fire engine. Such educational trips bridge the gap between classroom learning and reality.

World Book Day Celebration!
KG3 children celebrated Book Day at school with a lot of excitement. They dressed up as characters from their favourite books, such as wizards and pirates, and paraded around the playground.
Throughout the day, they talked animatedly about their favourite books, sharing stories of adventure, mystery, and magic. Even though some of the children might not have read the books themselves, they still knew the stories inside out. They retold them with great enthusiasm, using descriptive words to bring the characters and adventures to life. It was amazing to see how well they understood and expressed the essence of each story, even without having read the words themselves.
These discussions brought the children closer together, with nods of understanding and gasps of amazement highlighting the storytelling sessions. By the end of the day, KG3 children left school feeling inspired and eager to dive into more books, ready to discover new adventures and treasures hidden within the pages.

Another Trip Another Experience!
Another Trip Another Experience!
Our Reception class went on a trip to Fire Magnate Limited. They learnt about and explored various tools and equipment used by the firefighters. We learnt how to operate a fire extinguisher, explored the inside of an ambulance, went for a ride in a fire engine and lastly- watched the firefighters in action while they put out a live fire! A wonderful experience that deepened our knowledge and understanding of the world, introduced us to new vocabulary and widened our horizons!
