To the Class of 2025!
This edition of the DP Newsletter is dedicated to celebrating the Class of 2025. Below, you’ll find highlights, mostly through images, capturing the spirit of the KISU Prom, DP2 Brunch, the parade, and the Graduation Ceremony.
I’d like to start by thanking all our parents and guardians for your continued support throughout this journey. We really appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into mentoring, parenting, and most importantly, helping your child navigate the rigour of the Diploma Programme
A special note of appreciation also goes to our DP1 students. Over the past few months, they have worked diligently to fundraise, ensuring a memorable and successful Prom for the DP2 cohort. In addition, they came together as a community to create personalised leavers’ books and helped organise a wonderful feast for the DP2 Brunch.
DP2 Prom at Fontis Residences
On Saturday 24th May, we welcomed around 90 guests to Fontis Residences for the DP2 Prom. The event was a huge success, and honestly, we could barely recognise the students! They looked absolutely amazing!
Thanks to the fundraising efforts of our DP1 students, who raised just under $6000 USD, and the generous donation from our Chairman, Dr Sudhir Ruparelia.
Below, you’ll find a few photos capturing the magic of the night!
DP2 Brunch
On Friday 30th May, the main celebrations kicked off as we prepared for the Graduation Ceremony. That morning, our DP1 students arrived early to get everything ready for the DP2 Brunch. Each student either baked or brought in food and drinks for the DP2s and the staff who have supported them along the way. The spread was absolutely delicious, and I couldn’t be prouder of the effort and care our DP1 students put into making it such a special moment.
DP2 Parade and Graduation Ceremony
After the Brunch, the DP2 students got ready for their parade around the school campus. As they made their way through, each student was given a rose by members of the school community. It was such a special moment—and definitely one of my highlights of the year—seeing the entire school come together to celebrate the achievements of our DP2 students.
From 4:30pm, all of our graduates were lined up outside the Auditorium, ready for their moment to officially graduate from High School. This year’s Graduation Ceremony was truly unforgettable. We had musical performances, powerful student and faculty speeches, and even a surprise rap from one of our PE staff members!
The photos alone don’t quite capture the energy and emotion of the evening, so I’ve also included a short video with some highlight.
