DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE
Dear KISU Community,
As we reflect on recent weeks, it's clear that Term 3 has already been full of exciting events and milestones.
One of the most notable highlights has been the Inspirit AI Programme, a collaboration between KISU and Aga Khan High School. In April, students from both schools had the opportunity to engage in cutting-edge project-based learning under the guidance of UK and USA academics. This initiative has proven to be an inspiring example of how education can shape the future, especially in the realm of technology and innovation. This opportunity will also bolster the university applications of those who participated.
We also had the privilege of taking part in TedX at Aga Khan, an event made possible by the hard work of Ms. Bob and her team. The students who attended were exposed to diverse ideas and impactful discussions, adding another valuable layer to their learning experiences.
The DP Art Exhibition was another standout event this term, where our students displayed remarkable creativity. The exhibition was a true testament to their hard work and passion. I am delighted to share that Mr. Grimshawe has included an article in this newsletter about the exhibition, and I encourage you to read it to appreciate the depth of talent in our school. A huge congratulations to our IB Art students for their incredible pieces.
We celebrated our Annual International Day, a day that truly represents what KISU is all about. The weather was perfect, and we were able to celebrate the rich diversity of our community. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together and embrace the cultures and backgrounds that make our school unique. This day is always a highlight, and it’s a reminder of the strength we gain from diversity. Thanks to Ms Tracy and her small army of helpers for an amazing day.
Finally, as we enter the final stretch of this term, IGCSE and IB exams are ongoing. I want to take this moment to wish all our students the very best of luck as they continue with their exams. Stay focused, and know that we are all rooting for you.
As we continue with the busy calendar of events in Term 3, I look forward to celebrating even more successes with our community in the weeks ahead.
Warm regards,
Lee Wilson
School Director
