Credit Recovery

Credit recovery is an after school program providing credited academic instruction in communication arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. High School credit earned in credit recovery is tied to the Missouri Show Me Standards and is competency-based. All sections meet from 3 pm-6 pm. Course level curriculum will be delivered through Edgenuity; there is no homework from credit recovery. Credit will only be earned when ALL work is completed at the 75% level.

Each 10-week section allows a student to regain .5 (1 semester) failed credit. If a student failed an entire year, the student would be required to complete two, 10-week sections.

See your counselor to sign up. Credit recovery starts in September and again in January.

Monday- Math, courses that can be recovered:

- Applied Math 1
- Applied Math 2
- Algebra 1

Tuesday- Science, courses that can be recovered:

- Physical Science
- Biology
- Environmental Science
- Earth Science

Wednesday- Communication Arts, courses that can be recovered:

- English 1
- English 2
- English 3
- English 4

Thursday- Social Studies, courses that can be recovered:

- Missouri Government
- World History
- American History
- U.S. Government

*AP, Honors and weighted courses cannot be regained through credit recovery; students may take the comparable course.
