Matriculate (rolling admission) — FREE virtual college advising program that connects high-achieving low-income students with a near-peer college mentor who works one-on-one with students throughout the college and financial aid processes.
College Board Opportunity Scholarships (ongoing) — $500 for each step, $40,000 once all are completed. Gives six different steps in the application process; students complete each step, notify College Board, and are entered into the drawing.
Matchlighters Scholars Program (applications accepted on a rolling basis until September 1) — for students with a 3.0 or higher GPA to receive supplemental college advising from a college advising professional.
List of Fly-In Programs (various due dates) — fully-funded opportunities to visit a college this fall. Please note that most due dates are over the summer and require an official transcript, so if you choose to apply for one, please try to secure your transcript before the end of the school year.
National Honor Society Scholarships (Opens Sept. 8) — Save the date: NHS scholarship opens soon to all eligible seniors in KCP's NHS chapter.
The Gates Scholarship (Part 1 due Sept. 15) — highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to exceptional student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.
GoSkills Scholarship (Sept. 15th) — $2,000 scholarship awarded. Must be a female student interested in starting their own online business.
New York Institute of Technology Free Virtual Business Bootcamp Workshop (Wed., Sept. 17 & Oct. 22; 7 - 8 pm) — Sept 25: A Guide to Transitioning From High School to College: The Keys to Success and Oct 22: Financial Literacy: Managing Your Personal Finances. Interested students must register for each virtual workshop separately using this link.
Oberlin College Diversity & Access Fly-in Program (Due Sept. 21) — fully-funded opportunity to visit Oberlin College in Ohio.
Miami University Bridges Program (Due Sept. 26) — an overnight scholarship program for students to visit and attend Miami University in Ohio.
Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship (Due Sept. 30) — $20,000 scholarship. Students are selected based on academic achievement as well as involvement and engagement with their school and community.
QuestBridge College Match Scholarship (Due Sept. 30) — students can earn a full scholarship to one of QuestBridge's 50 college partners by ranking their top college choices. Click here to learn more and to apply.
Cirkled In “No Sweat” Scholarship (Due Sept. 30th) — $2,500 scholarship. Random drawing based on people creating an account and profile. See website for more details.
Don’t Text and Drive Scholarship (Due Sept. 30th) — $1000 scholarship. Must complete application and submit a 140-character statement on why not to text and drive. Finalist selected based on application, and then an additional essay is required.
Return 2 College Scholarship (Due Sept. 30th) — $1000 scholarship. Complete application with a 3-sentence essay explaining why you are getting a degree.
Milken Scholars Program (Due Oct. 7) — $10,000 scholarship for students with a minimum 3.6 GPA and demonstrated leadership and community service. Contact your Counselor if you'd like to be nominated.
Morehead-Cain Scholarship (Due Oct. 15) — Full scholarship to attend the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill, along with funding for summer programs and other experiences. Please contact your College & Career Counselor for consideration to be nominated by KCP for this scholarship.
PCACAC College Fair (Oct. 15, 6-8 pm) — FREE college fair at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD
US Senate Youth Program (Due Oct. 27) — $10,000 scholarship plus the opportunity to participate in a week-long government and leadership conference.
Chick-fil-A Community Scholars Program (Due Oct. 28) —Up to 13 $25,000 awards offered; eligibility requirements: 3.0+ GPA, community service, extracurricular involvement, and/or leadership experience; Scholars Program includes mentoring and professional development
Delete Cyberbullying Beyond School Walls Scholarship (Due Oct. 31) — Scholarship open to high school and college students studying in the U.S., selection is based on the required short essay
Science & Engineering Apprenticeship Program (Due Nov. 1) — Paid summer STEM internship.
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship (Due Nov. 12 ) — Up to $55,000 per year scholarship.
