Student and parent create FSA IDs and complete FASFA application (opens 12/1)
Student completes CSS profile (is applicable) with parent support
SPED/504 students apply for RSA services
Decision Making, Transition to KIPP Forward, and Graduation
Complete DC TAG application with parent support (opens 2/1)
Check your application and financial aid statuses regularly
Match with a KIPP Forward Advisor and attend 1:1 meeting
Decide post-graduation plans with the support of your family, college & career counselor, and KIPP Forward advisor (April)
SPED/504 Eligibility Meeting
Formally enroll in a post-graduate program and communicate enrollment with your college & career counselor and KIPP Forward advisor
Pay enrollment deposit by 5/1 or the deadline approved by the institution
KIPPer is a texting chatbot that is available to answer questions from students 24/7. KIPPer will send resources such as:
Reminders of important dates and actions needed throughout your college application process
Information and resources to support you with your financial aid and scholarship applications
Events and opportunities to learn more about your desired college and career options!
Through KIPP Forward (formerly KIPP Through College & Career), we support students as they make post-secondary education plans. Post-graduation, the KIPP Forward team helps alumni continue to pursue their dreams.
A KIPP Forward advisor will reach out to every senior in March of their senior year to set up an initial appointment.
