Kipapa Elementary School uses current educational research-based programs and resources to support the Common Core State Standards. A variety of resources are used along with the state-mandated McGraw-Hill Reading Wonders Language Arts Program (K-5) and Stepping Stones math programs. Stepping Stones is the research-based state-selected math curriculum for elementary schools.

The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are a set of K-12 science content standards. In SY 2015-16, the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Science-Technology-Engineering-Math (STEM) were introduced with full school-wide roll-out by SY 2018-19. The NGSS incorporates a 3-dimension approach to science instruction to build a cohesive understanding of science over time.
