Junior Infants had a very special visit from some beautiful freshly hatched Spring Chicks. They were very fluffy and soft to touch!

Children from our ASD Unit "Seoda" were investigating their senses!
They go horse riding and learn all about what the horses like to eat and where they sleep.

Can you guess the scent? Senior Infants and First Class tested to see if their sense of smell was affected when they couldn’t see. They tested with perfume, lemon juice, paint and oranges.
In First Class the children were blindfolded and used their sense of smell to identify various things such as lemon, cinnamon, coffee and basil
planting
Children from our ASD Unit "Seoda" were planting bulbs. They also planted onions and carrots.
Bacteria!
Second Class were investigating the bacteria and germs which are living in the classroom. They used slices of bread to observe the bacteria growing.

Children in Third and Fourth Class looked at the ear structure and did an experiment on sound and tested it on various children.
creeping colours
Children in Second Class were looking at how plants drink and how colours creep along kitchen roll.
