Visit – Visit the Holocaust Galleries at the Imperial War Museum and create a written report on the individual stories from some of the six million Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust.  Examine the photos, books, artworks, letters, and personal objects, ranging from jewellery, to clothing, toys, and musical instruments in the museum.

Go to an online lecture (recorded - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3U1cs4ar3Ps Lecture: Why Did Germans Vote for Hitler? With Professor Alexander Watson from Goldsmiths, University of London.  Write a summary of the main findings and historiography covered in the lecture.

Watch the Rise of Evil online and write a report to evaluate it, based on how accurate the representation is, in line with your own knowledge.  Consider the role of propaganda, opposition parties, role of violence and intimidation whilst examining Hitler’s rise to power.

To what extent was propaganda mainly responsible for maintaining popular support for the Nazi regime between 1933 and 1945?

‘Young people were the group most affected by Nazi social and racial policies in the period 1933-1939.’ Discuss.

12.3 History - Write

Create a project based on the Nazi economic policy (recovery, rearmament, the war years), incorporating historiography.  You will need to track historians/schools over time, from the traditionalists to the revisionists – try to incorporate a range. Aim for around 2000 words
