Entry requirements:

Grade C (or above) in GCSE Photography or GCSE Art & Design OR Merit (or above) in Art & Design BTEC Level 2 are advisable in addition to Sixth Form entry requirements

The 8 Mandatory Units to be covered:

· Managing a Client Brief

· Developing and Realising Creative Intentions

· Location Photography

· Professional Practice in Art & Design

· Digital Image Capture and Editing

· Photographic Materials, Techniques and Processes

· Non-Digital Photographic Techniques

· Studio Photography Techniques

· [ Plus one additional optional unit ]

The BTEC Level 3 Photography Diploma is a structured course designed to enable you to channel your Photographic skills and creativity, whilst improving on your use of a diverse range of equipment, techniques and processes.

By completing this course, you will be well equipped for either a degree course, in a media/art specialism, or you will have a strong foundation to enter the creative sector. You will develop your ability to effectively capture life, events, memories and themes, while developing an aesthetic eye for detail.

Students will respond to briefs and scenarios that will inform their tasks and assignments, designed to prepare them for the creative photographic industry and higher education.
