"Backing the Need"

"Backing the Need" is an annual backpack & school supply drive that is hosted by KIDS CARE nonprofit and the Cobb County Police Department.  All collected donations are donated to local nonprofits who serve youth & families in need of assistance. 

Over the past three years, with the help of local businesses and the public, we have collected and donated a total of 1,374 new backpacks full of supplies to local students in need.  This summer, we will work together with the community for our fourth year of "Backing the Need". 

WE NEED OUR COMMUNITIES HEART, COMPASSION & TIME - AGAIN!

KIDS CARE is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit based in Marietta, GA.  Our mission is to create youth community service experiences that inspire people to act with Kindness.  We encourage youth & families to take time to compassionately give their time to others within their local community.  We aspire to raise awareness about Kindness & Compassion, strength of character, local nonprofits serving our community and the responsibility and health of our environment.
