87 Volunteers proudly showed up & rocked Big Hearts while serving Cobb County for our "Backing the Need" School Supply Drive.

"One of the most important things you can do on this earth is to let people know they are not alone." - -Shannon L. Adler

💙This past July/Aug our volunteers & donors definitely let us know that we were not alone on our mission to get new school supplies to students in need in Cobb County.  We felt your Love and we passed it on to 7 local nonprofits and Osborne High School who then felt your Love.  They were happy, relieved and grateful to get to pass our Kindness onto the families/students whom they serve.  Receiving an unexpected gift of new backpacks with supplies allows them to feel cared for and sets them up for expanded opportunities.  Let's hope they continue to have moments in which they feel they are not alone in this world.

Get to know your local nonprofits.  They are ALWAYS helping people feel like they are not alone!!

💙THANK YOU AGAIN DONORS & THANK YOU TO ALL THE VOLUNTEERS WHO HELPED MAKE THE MAGIC HAPPEN (getting all the supplies in the appropriate backpacks).  We are so grateful!

💙Thank you Cobb County Police Department for your collaboration & commitment to this mission.  Thank You also to Cobb County Commissioner Jerica Richardson for your support, inspiration & Kindness.

KIDS CARE youth volunteers had a desire to give new school supplies to their peers who needed them.  So we teamed up with the Cobb County Police Department and set out to do just that.  In our first year of "Backing the Need" we collected and donated 283 new backpacks full of supplies to local students.

KIDS CARE, July 23, 2021 "Backing the Need" School Supply Collection Drive at the Cobb County PARKS Cobb County Civic Center:  with the Cobb County Police Department, Commissioner Jerica Richardson, incredibly compassionate & hard working Volunteers and the generosity of individuals & local business Donors heavily supported KIDS CARE youths’ Vision of GIVING new backpacks & school supplies to students in need Cobb County.

We were honored to be joined by Commissioner Jerica Richardson & her staff as they continued their monthly Acts of Kindness by “Backing the Need” with us, helping spread the word of the drive, encouraging others to give if they could and participating in the volunteer responsibilities.  We were very Happy & Thankful to see Mr. Bill Nowicki of Marietta Stories Podcast who stopped in to catch up on the action.  We were incredibly Grateful for the multiple local businesses who surprised us with trunks full of donations to help get school supplies to students in need in Cobb County.
