40 business partners & over 100 volunteers all joined together on July 19, 2025, for KIDS CARE's 5th annual "Backing the Need" Backpack & School Supply Drive.

1,121 Backpacks with school supplies were collected & delivered to Cobb County students in need of assistance.

We are deeply grateful and honored to unite so many compassionate humans together on the same mission: get essential school supplies to local students in need. We did it community!  We did it.

Sharing Love & Positive Energy. Creating Kindness.  Being Community.  What a beautiful day watching families, friends & individuals serve together for the greater good.  What a beautiful day watching them catch their own light, leaving tired from hard work and feeling full of PRIDE & LOVE.

It's always a good day when our hands & hearts are serving others.  Service fills you with Joy, Happiness and a true sense of accomplishment. It's fun too! (And always a wonderful learning opportunity.)

Thank you to all our volunteers who came together to make this such a great day! We at KIDS CARE have made a life of service and are forever grateful to the family, friends and community who have chosen to join us.

$47,757.45 is the estimated value of new school supplies that our community collected & donated to students in need this past July.

Some of this years supplies included: 9,172 Crayons. 4,676 Pencils. 4,025 Colored Pencils. 3,225 Markers. 1,985 Pens. 1,169 Glue Sticks. 1,162 Pink Erasers. 1,051 Highlighters. 675 Spiral Notebooks. 619 Folders. 446 Packs of Paper. 413 Composition Notebooks.  325 Rulers. 320 Scissors. 277 USB Drives. 250 Calculators and more!

Our "Backing the Need" program has now gifted a total of 1,963 new bacpacks with school supplies to students in need over the past four years. This could not happen without our fabulous volunteers & donors! Thank you, everyone!!

These nonprofits work closely with students and families in need of  support. We are grateful for the important work they do in our community and happy that they could pass along our donations.

87 Volunteers proudly showed up & rocked Big Hearts while serving Cobb County for our "Backing the Need" School Supply Drive.

😊 There were miles of smiles, simple gratitude, generosity, hard work, leadership, role modeling, reflection, seeing old friends, making new friends, feeling proud & happy, staying later than planned because they were having F-U-N, and giving their best selves for our community.

BIG DONATIONS FROM OUR COMMUNITY TO OUR COMMUNITY! We're so proud to announce that we filled and delivered 336 full backpacks to local Cobb County nonprofits who have given the supplies to students/families in need.

💙This past July/Aug our volunteers & donors definitely let us know that we were not alone on our mission to get new school supplies to students in need in Cobb County.  We felt your Love and we passed it on to 7 local nonprofits and Osborne High School who then felt your Love.  They were happy, relieved and grateful to get to pass our Kindness onto the families/students whom they serve.  Receiving an unexpected gift of new backpacks with supplies allows them to feel cared for and sets them up for expanded opportunities.  Let's hope they continue to have moments in which they feel they are not alone in this world.
