We want you and your match to have fun together! This is how you build trust so you can face challenges that may come along the way. Here you will find just a few ideas for having fun together.
If you aren't a new match, but are looking for ways to get to know each other better and have fun, we also recommend heading to our Three Month Toolkit for fun conversation starters and activities that can be done virtually or in-person!
Zoom whiteboard can be used for drawing activities.
Snowman: One player picks a word, saying, or title and makes spaces for the letters. The other guesses letters to identify the word, saying or title. When someone guesses a letter wrong, start creating the snowman on one part of the board (3 snowballs, two eye, two stick arms, carrot nose, hat, and sad face)
Blind Drawing: One person finds a picture on the web. They describe the picture while the other person draws using the whiteboard feature. Try to get the pictures to match! Ask questions, use descriptive language and get creative! You may remember this from your Match Party.
Share screens (on Zoom or Google Hangouts) when you want to look at the same page or video. Or, if someone can’t access a page.

Cook together - find an easy recipe and do this together while on speaker phone or video call.

Read a book together - Choose a book and read or listen on your own time and talk about it during check-ins. You can find free audiobooks, ebooks and physical books through the DC Public Library! Pick a book together or take turns sharing your favorite books with your match.
Prompts for creative writing and journaling - Journal between check-ins and talk about during your weekly call or turn off your cameras and write or draw for a set amount of time, then turn on your cameras and share your work.
Collaborate on a playlist - Make a Spotify playlist that you can stream during your virtual hangout. By setting the playlist to collaborative, you both can add, delete and reorder the tracks. This is also great when your match is traveling. Make a playlist for them to listen to while they’re on the plane or in the car.
