Junior

Junior year often brings a transition for matches. By this time, protégés have many extracurricular activities, family responsibilities and academic expectations. Remember to lean on your mentor and ask for help so they can support you during this challenging year! Juniors take their PSATs and SATs and if they are pursuing college, this is the most important academic year on their transcript. It's also an important opportunity to show growth! 

Be sure to stay on top of DC Graduation Requirements, including community service hours, to avoid surprises during senior year. By the end of junior year, matches transition to more conversations about post-secondary planning including career and college  exploration. Your staff contact will also connect with you to help you work together as a team.
