Our Mission: Project Lead The Way (PLTW) provides transformative learning experiences for Shafter High students. We commit to create an engaging, hands-on classroom environment and empower students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills they need to thrive. We commit to provide experiences, such as: guest speakers, field trips, etc. We commit to providing open-ended activities and projects that allow students to develop solutions creatively. We commit to empower students to communicate their ideas, acquired skills and knowledge in a variety of settings. We commit to provide activities and projects that require collaboration with a variety of group sizes.

Our Vision: PLTW empowers students to develop and apply in-demand, transportable skills by exploring real-world challenges. Through our pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science, students will not only learn technical skills, but also learn to solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate, and collaborate.
