Drama/Theater Department
Watch: "The Miracle Worker"
Mrs. Kelci Cerri has served as the director and teacher of Ridgeview’s drama department for the past four years. Under her leadership, the program has staged a series of acclaimed productions, including In the Heights, Hairspray, Seussical, Little Shop of Horrors, and the department’s upcoming performances of Six: Teen Edition and Matilda.
Mrs. Cerri’s passion for the performing arts began at the age of five, when she first immersed herself in dance and theater. Since then, she has cultivated a lifelong dedication to the stage, bringing both artistry and educational excellence to her work. This year, she has placed particular emphasis on refining student performance techniques, such as timing for audience applause and laughter, while also fostering a welcoming environment that encourages new students to participate in theater.
Her mission is to guide every student in unlocking their fullest potential, not only as performers but also as confident, creative individuals.

The Ridgeview Drama Department is preparing for an exciting 2025–2026 season, offering a variety of performances that showcase student talent in acting, dance, and stagecraft. Each production provides students with opportunities to develop their skills, gain experience, and contribute creatively to the school’s arts community.
The advanced drama class, Drama Performance (DP), will present The Miracle Worker, highlighting the dedication and talent of upper-level students. Open-audition productions, including Six: Teen Edition and Matilda, allow students of all levels to participate on stage or behind the scenes.
This year also features the 16th Annual Dance Revue, themed around Disney, giving dancers a chance to perform choreographed routines and demonstrate their creativity.
Beyond these major productions, the department hosts smaller performances, and events to encourage student participation and build confidence. Whether auditioning, performing, or attending a show, every student is invited to be part of Ridgeview’s dynamic theater community.

The Ridgeview Drama Department has become known for its unforgettable and high-quality productions that leave a lasting impression on both audiences and the school community. In recent years, the department has delivered exceptional performances of Hairspray, In the Heights, Little Shop of Horrors, and Seussical. Each show has highlighted the extraordinary acting and dance skills of Ridgeview students, while also featuring visually striking sets, props, and stage design that immerse audiences in the story.
Beyond its theatrical productions, the department also hosts its annual Dance Revue, a cherished tradition that was recently revived under the leadership of Mrs. Kelci Cerri. Previously paused after the retirement of the former drama teacher, the Dance Revue now serves as a stage for dancers to audition and showcase their talents, guided by a fresh theme each year.
Through these performances and opportunities, the Ridgeview Drama Department continues to inspire creativity, encourage student participation, and build a strong culture of artistic expression within the school.
