Meet the players
Angel Ceballos
Angel Ceballos is ready for his senior year as it's his final chance at a D1 valley championship. Ceballos has been in the program 3 years straight, coming up short vs. Clovis North in the final his freshman and sophomore year, and losing to Edison in the semi-finals his junior year. Angel wants to bounce back stronger then last year and has big plans going into his final year of high school soccer.
Q: As you step into your senior year, what kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind for future players at Ridgeview, and how do you plan to inspire them through your actions on and off the field?
A: I want to leave my mark on this program before I leave and I plan to push future players to become the best player they can be.
Bryan Cardenas
Bryan Cardenas is excited to play his first game in purple and gold as he transferred here from Stockdale Highschool his junior year. Unfortunately Bryan was sidelined his entire junior year do to a horrible ACL injury. Cardenas is looking to come back stronger than ever going into his senior year.
Q: After tearing your ACL last season, how do you hope to contribute to the team differently now that you're back?
A: Being out for a whole year and having to watch from the sidelines truly gave me a whole new perspective on the game. I want to make sure everyone enjoys this upcoming year and emphasize how all it takes is just one play and it can all be taken away. Being out has given me the motivation and hunger for this year.
Aiden Macias
Aiden Macias has been in the program since his freshman year. Upon his arrival, he's had a huge impact on this program finishing his sophomore year with 32 goals and 14 assists. He has big goals heading into his junior year after coming up short 2 years in a row.
Q: As a captain, what's your mindset going into the season?
A: As a captain my mindset going into the season is to win and work as hard as possible for me to contribute to Ridgeview winning a valley championship.
