Have a current background check with Kenton County Schools (background checks are good for 3 years)
Attend one in-person volunteer orientation training. This must be attended once a school year.
Sign a Volunteer Agreement at the orientation training.
Volunteers must have a current background check (administered by the Kenton County School District) in order to volunteer or chaperone. The approval process could take as long as two to four weeks. Approved applicants will receive notification from Pretrial Services in Frankfort. Volunteers are approved for 3 years maximum. To obtain a current background check, please click below. After the background check form is completed, please return it to Piner Elementary along with a check for $10. Checks make payable to Piner Elementary.
All volunteers must sign a Volunteer agreement and review the Kenton County School District Volunteer Handbook. Signed volunteer agreements can be returned to Piner Elementary School.
Again, ONE session below must be attended this school year in order to volunteer or chaperone a field trip. The following sessions will be offered this school year. Please mark your calendars and plan accordingly.
August 12th - During Open House/Meet the Teacher Night (4:30 PM, 5:30 PM, & 6:30 PM)
September 17th- After PTA meeting 5:30 PM
November 12th - During Parent Teacher Conferences (8:00 AM & 5:30 PM)
November 13th - During Parent Teacher Conferences ( 8:00 AM & 5:30 PM)
January 12th - 8:00 AM
February 7th- Before the PTA Family Dance. 5:30 p.m.
