This pathway is taught at Gateway Community & Technical College. This pathway prepares students to apply technical knowledge and skills to repair, service, and maintain all types of automobiles. Includes instruction in brake systems, electrical systems, engine performance, engine repair, suspension and steering, automatic and manual transmissions and drive trains, and heating and air condition systems. Students have the opportunity to earn the ASE Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair Certification. Note: College credit earned may be used towards additional certifications or a degree in Automotive Engineering, Diesel Technology, or Collision Repair. (Offered in conjunction with Gateway Technical and Community College).
