The Dixie Heights school counselors are committed to supporting the social and emotional needs of all students and their families. Our school counselors provide a safe and confidential space for students to process experiences and problem solve, specifically supporting students in academic, social-emotional, and college/career growth. Some students may be navigating issues requiring support beyond the scope of a school counselor's training, as school counselors are not licensed mental health therapists. The Dixie Heights school counselors also refer students for additional support if needed. Your school counselor can help you navigate finding additional mental health support through skill-building, referring to community resources, and therapy options.

Dixie Heights offers school based therapy through partnerships with NorthKey Community Care and Cultivate Behavioral Health. In school based therapy, licensed professional mental health therapists provide therapy to students during the school day. Parent/guardian permission is required. If you are interested in school based therapy for your student, please contact your student's counselor.
