Collaboration activities are something many educators have at the core of day-to-day learning. Students thrive when they can communicate and collaborate with their peers. It can definitely take some outside of the box thinking when it comes to online learning to make collaboration happen, but it is still possible! Students can still engage in working together to complete activities, communicate their thoughts, ideas, opinions in the virtual environment. With some creativity, willingness to look at content and tools through a new lens, student learning collaboration can be out of this world!
How might you adapt some of your existing collaboration strategies and tools to work in an online environment? One of the best ways is simply have a conversation with a fellow educator! Sometimes simply talking through a process can provide clarity on what you would like to accomplish. If that doesn't work, you have someone right there to help offer suggestions or new ideas. Check out the presentation here for more ways to take in-person collaboration activities online (if you are unable to view the presentation, please click here).
