Chrome extensions are small little pieces of software that can be installed in the Chrome browser to perform specific functions. In a nutshell, they are little nuggets of joy that make amazing things happen beyond the basic Chrome experience. Chrome extensions can personalize your web browsing experience based on your needs, student needs, or maybe for even just the fun factor.
If you do a Google search or talk to you Chrome power user, they will immediately have a suggestion (or two) of must-have extensions. There are definitely some extensions that might work universally, there are also others that may fit the needs of a specific audience. As a rule of thumb, always keep your purpose (the WHY) in using the extension at the forefront of your tech-use decision making.
