Equitable learning environments can look different from classroom to classroom, school to school, district to district, and state to state. When it comes to student access to technology, there are many equities that exist and there are some steps that educators can recognize and work towards creating an inclusive learning environment. The best practices highlighted in the video are:
Develop an Equity Lens
Trauma Informed Teaching and Learning Online
Physical, Emotional, and Social Respect
Trustworthiness and Transparency
Support and Connection
Collaboration and Mutuality
Empowerment, Voice, and Choice
Cultural, Historical, and Gender Context
Resilience, Growth, and Change
Mindfulness.

Some personal reflection questions to consider:
What does equity mean to me and others on my team?
How does my identity shape my views?
What is my experience with race?
What drives us to do this work?
