Metadata Element Set

MLIS Program Learning Outcome: Evaluate systems and technologies relevant to a particular information content.

Description: This project was to design a metadata element set for a small collection of objects. I chose a matchbook collection I had on hand. A searchable criterion was put together for the user to be able to easily filter the items. An element set was then designed using elements from the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI). Finally, seven metadata records were created using the newly drafted elements for individual items in the collection.
