Description: This annotated bibliography focused on research surrounding emotional intelligence. Reviewing these types of studies helps to improve the way information professionals interact with both the public and their peers. Emotional intelligence isn’t a new concept, but all the studies referenced are within the last five years which makes this an analysis of the changing cultural, educational, and social roles and responsibilities of information professionals.
