That is right, you are on the other side of this screen, one life-changing habit away from living your best life and #glowingup!
For me, it was as simple as drinking more water. Yeah, trivial I know, but hear me out. After years as a nurse in anesthesia and working in the operating room for sometimes 18 hours a shift, my already sad excuses for properly hydrating myself and eating balanced meals resulted in many horrible habits. Including waiting till post-shift to eat or drink anything because it took too much work to pause my day and grab a snack or drink a bottle of water. Then enter into my mommy phase of life and the lack of care for myself flipped upside down because supporting two boys and feeding them, making sure they stayed hydrated, became a priority rather than the intimidating truth that I probably went straight from that cup of coffee at 6 am to that glass of vino at 9 pm as the only sources of fluid intake I would do in a day, and that one meal which was probably buttered noodles, cause let's face it, kids are picky eaters, was my only source of food intake for the day and it defiantly wasn't helping my food addictions or binge eating problems.
But we didn't come here to hash out why the simple fact of drinking enough water can change your life, that's common knowledge. Or at least from me, I knew what I should have been doing, heck nursing school drills into what a human body needs.
So enter the self-growth years, that's right three long years of rediscovering myself and journey back to health. Let me be frank, self-growth is never done, but I am hoping the hardest transition is behind me now. And it all started by drinking more water three years ago. At the end of 2019, I think we all had no idea just how hard 2020, 2021, and for some 2022 were going to be but I distinctly remember my new year's resolution that year was not to lose weight as it had been from the last, "cough, cough" five or so years prior. No, I had tried that game as lost every time, every fade diet, to intermittent fasting, to buying the latest apps and gym memberships. They all failed because I was failing at forming a habit. My 2020 new years resolution was to simply drink more water, and I didn't put a specific metric to be met on it, simply that I would get better at drinking water period.
Enter the search for the perfect water bottle, I knew it was something that would go in phases for sure, I had tried the hydro flasks, yeti, the large plastic jugs that had time increments but they didn't last for the simple fact that while its intentions were good, it didn't make me physically stop and drink water.
That all changed when I purchased my first Hidrate bottle. The simplest approach for me to start incorporating good habits into my everyday life was using the HidrateSpark. I stay on track and remember to adhere to my water goals thanks to glowing reminders and SMS notifications. The program integrates with my smart watch and fitness applications, enabling me to adjust my water goals based on my activity and even the weather. Additionally, the app features a community where you can connect with friends to get additional inspiration and track your progress on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
It was love at first sip so to speak, and since that day three years ago I have met my water goal consistently, but the biggest transformation has been the habit-forming skill I was lacking at being successful in other goals such as losing weight or even walking more. Now over 100 lbs lighter, with better skin, increased mental clarity, improved sleep, mood stability, and overall healthier than I have ever been, I credit all of that success to simply drinking more water and relearning how to solidify habits. I have since upgraded to owning not one but two HidrateSpark+ bottles, one for cold water, and the other for hot broth or tea when it's chilly outside.
I am so in love with this water bottle, I have bought my family, friends, and co-workers one so that they too can #glowup from feeling the benefits of being properly hydrated. Something that seems so simple, such as drinking more water can be the life-changing thing you need to launch you into the best you yet! So what are you waiting for? 2023 is on the horizon!
