Private Lessons
All orchestra students are highly encouraged to enroll in private lessons with a professional instrument specialist. Private lessons offer a unique experience that enhances and extends the learning provided in the regular classroom. This individual interaction generally improves the performance level of the student and has a positive effect on the ensemble in which the student participates. Students interested in excelling in the All-Region/All-State process will benefit tremendously from lessons.
On-Site – Keller ISD Fine Arts Private Lesson Program
Private lessons take place once a week at an arranged time for 20-25 minutes during the orchestra rehearsal period or before/after school. The cost is $24 per lesson. Fees are paid directly to the instructor.
Each instructor will have policies and guidelines that they will cover at the student’s first lesson.
Off-Site – Studio Lessons
Some of the instructors on our roster teach from their personal studios on evenings and weekends. Off-site studio lessons are not part of the Keller ISD Fine Arts Private Lesson Program. It is the responsibility of the parent/student to initiate contact with the instructor and arrange to be enrolled in their studio. Lesson rates and availability are determined by the teacher.
