Dear Florence Falcon Families,
November is here, and with it comes a wonderful season of gratitude, reflection, and community! Our halls are buzzing with excitement as students dive into learning, kindness, and service to others.
Next week, we are especially proud to honor the brave men and women who have served our country at our Veterans Day Program and Reception on Tuesday. This special event is always a highlight of the year as our students express their appreciation through song, art, and heartfelt words. We look forward to welcoming our veterans and their families and saying a sincere “thank you” for their service.
November also brings opportunities to show gratitude in action. Our R.O.C.K. Club’s Pajama Drive is underway! This wonderful project helps provide new pajamas for children in need; an act of comfort and kindness that perfectly captures the spirit of the season. If you’re able, please consider donating a new pair of pajamas to help us share warmth and love with others.
We are also looking forward to our Annual Family Thanksgiving Meal on November 21, a special time for our Falcon Family to come together and celebrate all we are thankful for. This beloved tradition reminds us how much we have to be grateful for; our students’ joy and curiosity, our staff’s dedication, and the partnership and support of our families.
As Thanksgiving approaches, we are reminded daily of the many reasons we have to give thanks. Wishing you a month filled with gratitude, giving, and togetherness.
With appreciation,
Courtney Brandel
Principal, Florence Elementary
Congratulations to all of our 3rd and 4th grade students who participated in our grade level spelling bee preliminary rounds. All of our participating 3rd and 4th grade students did an outstanding job and we are proud of them for being a part of the spelling bee!
We also wish to recognize those students who advanced to the school level spelling bee which will take place on December 8th!

This document provides you with an overview of concepts that will be learned, common misconceptions, and ways you can help support your child's learning at home. There are also some fun games to help support our numerical fluency goals at home!
