Phone Setup Guide (Phone _ PC and Smartphone)
Phone authentication is exclusively for recovery and backup purposes. You cannot log into the keio.jp portal site using phone authentication.
1. Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication (Phone)
For explanations regarding the images in each step, please refer to the text provided to the right of or directly below the respective image.
1.1. Access the MFA setup page
Log into keio.jp using a web browser on your computer, and then access the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) setup page ( https://keio.okta.com/enduser/settings ).
Click "Set up" in the "Phone" section.
1.2. Verify your identity using a security method
Please use one of the standard authentication factors you registered for daily use.
If the device you are currently using does not have any available standard authentication factors, please use phone authentication instead.
If an unintended authentication factor is displayed, click on "Verify with something else" and select the specific authentication factor you wish to use.

1.3. Set up security methods
Click "Set up."
1.4. Set up phone authentication
To register via SMS, select "SMS," choose "Japan" for "Country/Region," enter your phone number, and click "Receive code via SMS." To register via voice call, select "Voice call," choose "Japan" for "Country/Region," enter your phone number, and click "Receive code via voice call." (When "Voice call" is selected, an extension field will be displayed; please leave this field blank.)

Spam filters or "Unknown Sender Screening" features may be enabled.
Please refer to the manual provided by your carrier and check your settings.

1.5. Set up phone authentication
Enter the verification code (6 digits for SMS, 5 digits for voice call) sent to your registered phone number via SMS or voice message, and click/tap "Verify."
1.6. Proceed to the Set up security methods screen and confirm that the “Continue” button is displayed.
Once the registration is successful, your phone number will be registered.
