Title: Non-degenerate locally tame complete intersection varieties and geometry of

non-isolated hypersurface singularities

Abstract: I will present a new criterion to test Whitney equisingularity and Thom's (a_f) condition for certain families of (possibly non-isolated) hypersurface singularities that "behave well" with respect to their Newton diagrams. As a corollary, I will show that in such families all members have isomorphic Milnor fibrations. This is a joint work with Mutsuo Oka.
