This is the second half of the French course that you started last year. We will do a review and then move forward with our class. You will be expected to work on French EVERY DAY. We will also meet almost every day. If you have CP French on Blue days first special, then you will have CP French during Flex on Gold days. This could change, so pay attention in class for the schedule. It's expected that you listen to French music, programs, TV5, the videos in Google Classroom, etc. often so you get used to hearing French and speaking French. If you are successful in completing this course, passing the final, and can prove that you "Can Do" all the items in your "Can Do" folders, you will receive high school credit and move into French 2. If not, you've got an excellent base for French 1 next year at the high school.
Each year ALL French classes participate in the Manie Musicale which is an international music sensation! All the videos with the French and English subtitles are in a shared folder in the MATERIALS section of Google Classroom.
From Atlas Rubicon: CP French students learn basic verbs, vocabulary and grammar and begin developing proficiency through listening, speaking, reading and writing practice activities. Students also research francophone cultures and compare French and Canadian teen life and interests to their own.
