In January, we worked on our Fast and Slow unit! We did creative movements with movement scarves and ribbons to fast and slow music, we listened and identified fast and slow music from different cultures all around the world, we sang songs fast and slow, we played the tone block fast and slow, and kept the beat in our feet and kept the beat with a pool noodle to music that slowly got faster and faster! We have learned the songs: The More We Get Together, Engine, Engine Number Nine, and Everybody's Welcome. In Early Childhood, we sang lots of songs about winter and played with new instruments and movement manipulatives like the stretchy band!
