Hi! I'm Mrs. Werntz!
I am so excited to begin my first year at Willow Grove Early Learning Center and my eighth year teaching music in an early childhood building! I have a Bachelors in Music Education and a Masters in Early Childhood! I already feel so grateful to be part of a school and community that shares my values as an educator. I look forward to helping your students grow and create joyful experiences in music class.
Outside of school, I recently celebrated my first wedding anniversary and love spending time with my family. I love all things creative, Disney, golfing, cooking, and especially music!
Class Overview
At Willow Grove, Kindergarten students will have music class two times a week for 20 minutes (40 minutes a week), and EC students will have music class once a week for 20 minutes! In music, we focus on singing, dancing, and playing to help us learn the "musical opposites" (high/low, loud/quiet, fast/slow, same/different, etc.) and the foundational elements of music ( steady beat, healthy singing voice, creating musical ideas, etc.).

If you would like to visit your student's music class period, you can sign up to be a mystery musician! This opportunity is very similar to what a mystery reader would do or a helper in the gym, just in music class! Please join us for a music class and share a song that is special to your family or share an instrument you know how to play! To schedule, please send me an email! Let's have fun and share music!
