Create a positive experience for all by ensuring your new practitioner has what they need to work & integrate into your clinic
Research has shown that a physician that is integrated into the community early has a better chance of wanting to stay for a longer time period.
Have a dedicated individual "buddy" to onboard the physician on the first day
Prepare in advance introductions to the clinic/lunch or coffee meeting in the first week
Tour of the clinic as well as the local community if possible
Support family that has arrived ie: spouse/children
Introduce by email to the Division Community Ambassador as soon as date is set for arrival for support: Bronwyn Murray bmurray@kbdivision.ca
Introductions to other physicians in the community
Check in on a weekly basis to see if any other support is needed especially the first couple of months
Create a smooth clinical onboarding experience by providing with the information they need, all in one place.
