Pathways

Pathways is a web-based resource that helps to streamline and optimize patient referrals.  Pathways has three services to support practitioners, their clinic staff, and patients:

BC College of Physicians & Surgeons

Serves public by regulating physicians & surgeons, ensuring they are qualified, competent and fit to practice medicine in BC. Easy to look-up, verify and find information on credentials and scope of practice for physicians through directory:

Emergency Preparedness Toolkit

Practical resources to help clinics take a proactive approach to preparing for and recovering from an emergency (wildfire, flood, internal threat, etc.) that impacts their operations. These resources assist clinics with developing evacuation, shelter in place, and incident recovery plans. They also contain information about practicing and reviewing your plan, including emergency drill scenarios and practice checklists.

PSP (Practice Support Program)

The goal of the Practice Improvement Coach is to address a Family practice’s immediate learning needs and provide tangible learning to support quality improvement in the practice. These learning sessions can be included as part of a supported Quality Improvement (QI) Cycle through Doctors of BC (DoBC), under the Primary and Community Care Transformation Team.

The Member Liaison holds an integrated role that spans many aspects related to the membership relations’ continuum, including recruitment, onboarding, ongoing support, and communications for physician and nurse practitioners in the Kootenay Boundary.

Jill Peel, Manager of Ancron Medical Clinic in Nelson initiated WhatsApp groups just for this purpose! It's a vibrant app-based community where colleagues can share info, ask questions and chat about all things related to clinic life in the Kootenay Boundary.
