Leo's commitment to service and community involvement is extensive and longstanding. He first began his formal Rotary service in January 2010, although he had already been familiar with Rotary for over 20 years due to attending meetings with his father. Within his Rotary club, Leo has held numerous leadership roles, including serving as President twice, taking on the role of Treasurer since 2017, and participating in all avenues of service. His contributions extend beyond his club as well; Leo has served as an Assistant Governor and as the Public Relations chairperson for District 7210, demonstrating his dedication to enhancing Rotary's impact at both local and district levels.
In addition to membership and foundation, a goal for this year is to build a strong bond between our clubs and our district..
Beau O'Loendorf, our incoming District Governor Elect (DGE) joined Rotary five years ago when he first moved to New York from Colorado. As a proud member in the Cairo-Durham Rotary Club he has served as President (two terms), Public Image Chair, and Membership Chair. He has served as Assistant Governor (region 1) and most recently finished his term as the District Public Image Chair.
When asked about Rotary he stated that he truly believes we are the top service organization of choice with great folks who want to do good, and have fun while doing so.
A goal for this year would be to build up our membership within our clubs, because with more Rotarians, we can do more good in this world. Together we can GROW Rotary!
Carrie initially joined Patterson Rotary in June 2015, and transferred to Brewster Rotary in 2021. She has held many positions in both clubs, including being a two-time club president, secretary, assistant treasurer and Interact advisor. She has also participated on numerous District committees; Communications, Membership, Public Image, and Events. She was Assistant Governor of Region 7 from 2019-2022 and 2023-2024, District Executive Secretary from 2020-2023 and currently is District Interact Co-Chair. Notably, Carrie's mother, Penny Byron, served as our District Governor in 2014-15.
Carrie is looking forward to serving as District Governor and is excited to make new friends, catch up with old ones, and all of the fun to be had as a Rotarian.
A goal for this year is to work with our Youth programs to increase student participation, getting the word out about who they are and what they do and building relationships between the programs.
