World Polio Day, observed on October 24, is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness and support for the global fight to end polio. Established by Rotary International, it highlights the progress made toward eradicating polio and the importance of continued efforts to eliminate the disease worldwide. Events and activities are organized to engage communities, raise funds, and encourage vaccination efforts in the remaining areas where polio still exists.
Please let us know if your Club or Region has scheduled any event or activity to observe World Polio Day, or week to follow.
Contribute to TRF Polio Fund so we may continue our programs of prevention, immunization, surveillance, education, and research.

Hey District 7210! What a great start to the year so far. We have raised $12,000 towards our $225,000 goal! A HUGE THANK YOU to these clubs for their support so far (Cairo-Durham, Carmel, East Fishkill, E-Club, Fishkill, Goshen, Greater Newburgh, Greenville, Highland, Hudson, Kinderhook Trivillage, Kingston, Lake Mahopac, Liberty, Livingston Manor, Millbrook, New City, New Paltz, Nyack, Patterson, Pawling, Pleasant Valley, Port Jervis, Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Southern Ulster, Spring Valley, Suffern, Walden, Wallkill East, Wappingers Falls, Warwick Valley, & West Point-Highland Falls). It is EREY awareness month here in District 7210, so if your club is not on this list, there is still plenty of time to go donate today, click here to do so.
We still need many clubs to register their Foundation Chairs in My Rotary. Clubs that complete this by October 4th will be entered into our first drawing, with one lucky winner receiving a free entry to the Foundation Celebration Night in November.
Why should you donate to the Foundation, click HERE to read more.
As always, thank you for your support.
Contact Beau with any questions.

August is the perfect month to start talking to your club about the EREY (Every Rotarian Every Year) Program. This year our goal is to increase club participation to 90%. Please see our Foundation Team's goals/steps below, and as always if you have any questions feel free to contact our Foundation team!
1. We will be sending out a flyer on Annual Giving to Presidents and Foundation chairs for distribution to club members. So many members are unaware of what the Foundation does and how it works, and this flyer is amazing at showing all our programs within the Foundation.
2. One way to become EREY is to add a $25 donation to the Annual Fund to the club’s annual membership dues. This would automatically qualify the club for 100% EREY based on the July 1 active member count. The donation has to be listed as $25 for each individual member.
3. To encourage early giving, make August EREY Giving Month in your club!
4. To encourage early giving, recommend clubs to match member donations in August of $12.50 or more. Again, donations have to be listed individually. A Club can set a limit on how much they match but a match program is an easy way to grow giving.
5. Clubs donate $25 to the Foundation for each new member to start their EREY giving.
6. We will be hosting another competition this year. 100% EREY clubs by November, will be placed in drawing for 1000 PHF points from the District. This must be done by November 30th.
Thank you to all who give to the Foundation. We really appreciate your support and loyalty to Rotary.

Grants Report- Mike Polasek
Last month our District’s Foundation Grants Committee was extremely pleased to inform 25 clubs that their 2024-25 District Grants were approved. The impressive list of projects totaled almost $189,000! We awarded $41,770 thanks to funding from The Rotary Foundation.
Foundation Report-Beau Oloendorf
Drum Roll Please.... According to our District 7210 Fundraising Analysis, it looks like we are currently at $131 per member with donations from every club!!! WAY TO GO! These numbers will hopefully increase a bit as the last minute donations from Clubs who donate with checks by mail trickle onto the online reports until they are finalized in October. We will be short of our goal of $144 per member, however we did exceed last year's giving per member. We grew by 13 PHF (total of 173), with 5 major donors, and 3 major gifts. We currently have 71% of our members achieve EREY with a $25+ donation to the TRF Annual Fund, which is typically among the highest in Zone 32, but this is still an opportunity to grow even more in the coming year. Finally we ended over $200K in Annual Fund Giving and over $300K in total Giving. So much to be proud of!
Finally, as the incoming Foundation Chair, I am looking forward to building upon that success that we had this year. Here are some of my goals below:
1. Grow our Foundation team to a committee of at least 7 folks, 4 for giving and 3 for grants.
2. Increase our Giving through having over 200 PHF, 7 major donors, and over 1,200 EREY. My goal for total giving this year will be $350,000, however I want to work with the incoming Giving Chair to see what they think and create a goal together!
3. Work with the Grants team to see which areas of growth we can strive to achieve!
Thank you to everyone for your support of the Foundation! Let's take a breath, be proud of what we did, and get ready to have another successful year ahead.
