Beginning Band

Tays Junior High Beginning Band

The Tays Beginning Band is the comprised of  6th graders and is for all first year band students. Students are placed in classes divided by instrument to best learn their chosen instrument. The Tays Beginning Band performs as a full ensemble two times at the end of the spring semester. Beginning Band students are the future musicians of the Tays Junior High performing ensembles. 

Beginning Band Responsibilities 

Fall Semester: Beginning Band students will perform at one concert in December during school hours.

Spring Semester: Beginning Band students will perform at one contest in April and one concert in May as a full Ensemble. Students are required to attend one out of class rehearsal in April in order to practice playing as a group.
