Hello Future Tays Band Families!

We are excited for your upcoming band journey and cannot wait to meet you all soon! Please use this website as a reference to learn about the various instruments we teach and how we help match each musician with the perfect instrument! 

Students will have the opportunity to play instruments they are interested in with the help of a trained musician or band director. We ask that students and families have an open mind when trying the various instruments. Students will then be paired with instruments based on their interests, physical features, and success through the instrument selection process.

Once we have placed your child with their instrument, they can begin gathering the necessary supplies to have a successful year. We recommend Collin's Music, H&H  Music, or Music and Arts as local reputable music store. The supplies you’ll need for each instrument can be found on our website! Each of these stores has worked with us to make your supply shopping easy. Please check out their website for this and let us know if you have any questions. 

School owned instruments will be distributed once we are back at school next fall and include a district usage fee.  School owned instruments include the Oboe, Bassoon, French Horn, Euphonium, and Tuba.  Instruments that families will need to rent or purchase from the music store include: the Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, and Percussion.
