Student Library Project: "Let's make a MARK and see where it takes us!"

In the story, Vashti made a variety of paintings that started with a single dot, but what if it wasn't a dot?

  • What if your MARK was a single SOUND (that could become a song)?

  • What if your MARK was a single WORD (that could become a story)?

  • What if your MARK was a single MOVEMENT (that could become a dance)?

  • What if your MARK was a single SOMETHING-ELSE (that could become whatever you're imagining?

STEPS:

  1. Starting today, think about something you're curious about. Make a mark. And each day, add to it and see what else you could do. Have fun!

  2. Document your marks as you add to them, however you'd like (with photos, with video, with words in a journal).

  3. Before September 15th, send your FIRST mark and your LATEST mark (and whatever else in between) to Mr. Tanaka's email darren.tanaka@k12.hi.us

  4. Mr. Tanaka will put our marks together in a virtual art gallery to share with everyone.
