Student WBL Spotlights

Matt McNees is the December Work Based Learning Student of the month.  Matt is a senior and is also a student in the Dual Enrollment Automotive program at SVCC.  He works at Sunset Ornamental Concrete in Meherrin.  This local business produces concrete statuary, birdbaths, benches, and lawn decor.  Sunset Ornamental Concrete is also a distributor of wood sheds and steel buildings.  After graduation, Matt plans to attend a trade school for automotive maintenance and repair.  Congratulations Matt!



Kaileigh Jeter is the November Work-Based Learning Student of the Month.  Kaleigh is a senior who is an office and teacher assistant intern at CHS.  After school, she works at Food Lion.  She passed the Parapro® exam last year in the Teacher’s for Tomorrow course and plans to apply to Longwood University.  Her future goal is to become an elementary Art Education teacher.



Congratulations to Raja Adams who is the January Work Based Learning Student of the Month.  Raja is a senior and works at TJ Maxx® in South Hill.  She works as a cashier.  After graduation, she plans to attend college to major in Biology.  Raja would like to have a career in Health Sciences.
